Hi my name is Charles
Babinski, I am the cofounder of G&B Coffee and Go Get Em Tigerin Los
Angeles, California so, two pitchers.
This is my milk pitcherand this a pitcher, pretending to be a cupand we
are using water instead of milk because, water is cheap and you can spill it
everywhereand it's easyfirst, just let it dangleput your thumb downand
thenspeed upor slow downand just get used to doing different speedsand, once
you get a good sense of how to speed up or slow down the watertry to go very
slow to very fastfast slow, fast slow, fast slownextpour very slow and go
updownupdownupdowntry to keep a consistent flownextjust practicing wiggling
when you are wiggling the milk pitcheryou don't want it to be jerky, so you're
not moving your whole handlike thatyou're letting it hang, rightand then
letting itsort of pick up aa pendulum back and forthit shouldn't be a whole lot
of motion it's not likethisit's almost like thiswe have three things so farslow
fast, slow fast, slow fasthigh low, high low, high lowand then wiggling once
you are comfortable with thosepour high and slowyou go downspeed upand untilt
the cup that you are pouring intohigh and slowgo down, speed upand untilt the
cup that you are pouring intoand thenhigh and slowgo down all the way, speed
upwiggle and untilt the cup that you are pouring intonowputting it all
together: high and slowgo downspeed upwiggleuntilt, slow downslow down, up half
an inchand acrossyou're donea few notes on form:you want to keep the handle of
the cup that you are pouring intoperpendicular to the handle of the steaming
pitcherfor the milk pitcher:keeping the handle, parallel to your shouldersthe
whole time, so,none of thisnone of thisit's always like thisyour holding the
milk pitcheryou want to dangle it on one fingerso, you have your pointer finger
right herejust so that it is sort of naturally evenand then use your thumblike
thisto speed it up or slow it downthink about it as like the gas pedalthese
three fingers right hereare stabilizing itso, you're not clamped down on itit's
just the one finger, dangling the thumbspeeding up and slowing down, and then
the other three to stabalizekeep your elbowclose to your sideso, don't bring it
up hereif you are speeding upand you are raising your elbow to do ityou're
going to rotatethe pitcher while you are do that and that's going to make
things harderso just use your thumb to speed stuff upso two things that people
dowhen they are pouring and they get into more complicated poursis they will
bring themilk pitchercloser to the cup that they're pouring intowhich you don't
want to dobefore it's timeand the other thingis, everything will move around
so,stuff will start to rotateyou don't want that either.
